Artist browser won't download artist pictures

If I go to Settings > Browsers > Download artist pictures now, nothing happens.
I think I recall this being an issue a few years ago, but I don't remember the solution. Last week I switched from a Motorola to a Samsung A71 5G, and the problem is back.

The album pictures download just fine, but Player Pro won't download a single artist picture.
My library is on my SD card, if that makes a difference.

I am on v5.23, Android 11.

This seems to be resolved. Not sure if the devs did anything, since no one ever acknowledged me. We're on vacation, on someone else's Wi-Fi, and it magically decided to work today. I had previously tried on our home's Wi-Fi, my work's Wi-Fi, and over 5G. Nothing worked until we drove out of state.
