Search not working in Artist and Song browsers

In the Artists and Song browsers, I type in the name of an artist and there are no search results. In Song browser, typing in the artist would previously bring up all the songs related to the artist. Anyone else having this issue or have a fix?

As an update to this:

I'm currently using a Pixel 2 that recently updated to Android 10.

I realize now that search will bring up songs that I've downloaded since the Android 10 update, but not songs that I've downloaded before the Android 10 update.

Hello,

This is an issue that the upgrade to Android 10 introduced (not a PlayerPro bug).
To get around it, you can follow those steps: go to phone settings / applications / all / media storage then clear data. Reboot your phone. Then wait 10 minutes and relaunch PlayerPro.

I have the exact same issue on my Pixel 2 as well. I cannot find where this "Applications / All /Media Storage" is. I already cleared the data/cache from the app from Google Play to no avail. I even uninstalled/reinstalled the app and dsp pack. Would appreciate any advice you can provide.

EDIT: I should add - searching works fine under Genre

Hello,

On some phones, the path is slightly different: phone settings / applications / "show system" (from the three dots contextual menu) / media storage / clear data.

Please make sure you update to v5.4 of PlayerPro as well.
It includes fixes for Android 10

I had the same issue on my OnePlus 7 Pro running Android 10/Oxygen OS 10.3.0 and this resolved it.
Hopefully I won't have to do this each time I add new content.
For you OnePlus OxygenOS users, the path is:
- Settings (the gear)
- Apps and Notifications
- "SEE ALL <###> APPS"
- Click the menu top r/h corner (stacked dots) and select "Show system"
- Scroll down to "Media Storage".
- Not sure if it was necessary, but I did a "FORCE STOP" first.
- Select "Storage & cache".
- Select "Clear Storage".

Hi All, Wonder if you have any advice for restoration of search after Android 10 install on Sony XZ2??

I can search for albums placed on my device after the update but non before??

Tried advice for other devices as noted in the thread but does not work.

Please help!!
