Problems with reappearing playlists.

Postby brokenspirit » Fri Aug 16, 2019 9:41 am

So the thing is, I always see loads of useless playlists that are automatically created by the player. When I delete them - they just reappear the next day or so (haven't really counted the time it takes).
I will attach the screenshots of the issue. How can I get rid of them for good? Really uncomfortable...

Thanks for all of your answers in advance!

Sane issue... becouse its rebuilding playlist befor androud finishes the mounting or scaning the files on the sd... we have to stop scaning the sd automatic on each restart of the unit.

Firstly, thank you for your answer! Nobody couldn't give me any solutions whatsoever in a couple of months now. So how exactly can I disable the automatic scanning of the SD card?

I am having the same issue.
The the duplicate playlists that keeps showing are stored in Storage>playerpro>playlists>playlist.p3u.ppo
Even after deleting manually via a file browser or within the app itself.

Might be a fault in "automatically restore playlists" option. Even though it's not enabled.

For now I am going to switch to another player until an update with specific fix shows up.

Android periodically scans the sdcard (typically when new files are added or when you reboot your phone) and will recreate any playlist from ".m3u" or ".pls" files stored on your sdcard. This is why you see duplicates appearing.
To avoid this behavior:
- You can simply delete all those playlist files.
- You can put a ".nomedia" (empty) file in the same folder as the playlists. This will tell the media scanner to stop scanning the whole folder. Beware: this means as well that all media files in the same folder will be ignored.

By the way, you should never delete anything in Storage>playerpro>playlists>playlist.p3u.ppo. The PlayerPro folder on your sdcard is used by PlayerPro for internal usage and contains a ".nomedia" file so it is already ignored by the media scanner.
