Ability to Back-up ALL Settings

Postby Shadowraven » Mon Feb 25, 2019 6:15 am

I've had to switch phones several times since I first began to use this app several years ago. It's always a pain to have to re-download all of my album, artist and other art all over again from the beginning. I've tried just copying the old data from the original directory, then pasting it into the new one, but that does not work very well.

Surely the devs understand that we don't keep the same phone forever. You need to make it easier for your users to export this data to their new phone so that it shows up properly and we don't have to start from scratch every single time. It is REALLY annoying when I have to this.

Hello,

The last release of PlayerPro now supports this feature:

Added ability to backup/restore settings, playlists and music stats to/from Google Drive:
- Ability to add a Google Drive account: Settings / Google Drive account.
- Option to backup on demand or automatically (daily, weekly or monthly).
- Option to backup over wifi only.
- Ability to backup/restore settings: Settings / Misc / Backup/restore.
- Ability to backup/restore music stats (ratings, play counts, skip counts, and last played date): Settings / Music library / Music stats.
- Ability to backup/restore playlists: Settings / Browsers / Playlist browser.
- Trick: from the Google Drive interface, copy your backups from the Free version folder to the Pro version folder. This will allow you to restore music stats and settings from the Free to the Pro version.

Thanks,
Tristan
